The purpose of Onkologisk center for sarkom is to provide assistance to sarcoma patients and their families who are in need, bring awareness to a rare type of cancer and support sarcoma research.

Assistance Approval Process

The approval process includes the following steps:

  1. Patient and/or Family requests assistance.
  2. Onkologisk center for sarkom Co-Founder presents anonymous application to Board of Directors.
  3. Request for Assistance is reviewed by Onkologisk center for sarkom Board of Directors and/or approved or denied.
  4. Submitter is notified of approval or denial via email.
  5. If approved, check disbursement request is made to The Community Foundation of Carroll County.
  6. Recipient will receive a check from the Onkologisk center for sarkom Fund, a Component Fund of the Community Foundation of Carroll County.

NOTE: Funding Assistance will be disbursed as funds are available.

Criteria for Assistance

  1. Patient must have been treated at Johns Hopkins, AND
  2. Patient must be a resident of: Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or Ohio.

Confidentiality and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us! The personal and confidential information provided in the Request for Assistance application will not be shared with anyone, except:

  1. to process the request for assistance,
  2. to notify application status, and
  3. to send funds to the recipients and/or their families.
