PAST BOARD MEMBER & CO-FOUNDER — After years of crazy, busy schedules raising two girls, I am thoroughly enjoying being an empty nester and feel I finally have time to commit to causes that matter to me. I am an official RAKtivist (Random Acts of Kindness) and enjoy doing small, often anonymous things to brighten someone's day. Fighting Sarcoma is important to me because it affected someone very dear to me and one of the most important people in my life. I wanted to hide from it but decided a much better approach is to do what I can to help those affected by it. I am excited to be part of the FINISH Sarcoma Team!
Sadly, Nora lost her battle with sarcoma September 14, 2022.
PAST BOARD MEMBER — A co-founder of FINISH Sarcoma, I have been battling sarcoma since 2008 when I was diagnosed with a solitary fibrous tumor. Treatment included radiation, followed by a very delicate and long surgical procedure with complications. In 2010, I developed a distant lung metastasis, which required additional surgery to repair the abdominal wall. I support FINISH Sarcoma’s focus to provide support to patients and families, to increase awareness, and to fund research for this rare cancer. I try to remain active and enjoy spending time with family, friends and my pets. Sadly, Nora lost her battle with sarcoma September 14, 2022.
