RFA – Hana (Age 16) ***sent to CCCF for processing 06/30/2022***

Submitted 06/24/2022

DIAGNOSIS: Bone and upper right arm soft tissue sarcoma. Surgery was 6/23/2022

DATE OF DIAGNOSIS: 6/8/2022

PHYSICIAN: Felasfa M. Wodajo, MD

HOSPITAL: Inova Fairfax, Fairfax, VA

THE NEED:
Dear Finish Sarcoma,

I feel we are still in shock as we just had surgery yesterday (6/23/2022) and “it was not good” and our doctor is “worried.” We have additional tests that we should find the results on this Wednesday. Her surgery was over 4 hours and incision over 6″. The Doctor anticipated a 1 hour and 1″… so needless to say, it was a horrible day.

Our daughter is a bright, thoughtful and sweet 16 year old who love Theater and the Arts. She is one of the kindest souls you’d ever meet!

I would like to take her to a play and/or help pay our medical bills please. We are not a wealthy family, but we do have hope and faith.

We support our veteran community with volunteering for Warrior Canine Connection as other veteran-centric efforts.

I think I’m rambling on here….Thank you for showing us support through your Organization! We are scared as heck…and are hoping for a successful end result! Thanks for being there! Mike

DIAGNOSIS: Myxoid Liposarcoma

DATE OF DIAGNOSIS: June 2017

PHYSICIAN: Dr. Edward Fox

HOSPITAL: Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA

THE NEED:
My sarcoma diagnosis comes with a price tag of more than $2,000 per year (my deductible, plus co-pays for every office visit and test). My hospital won’t accept long-term payment plans and have sent me to collections, which they do every year. I make my monthly payments but my balance will always be more than I can possibly pay off with the deductible re-starting every year.
