RFA – Ariella (Age 9) ** approved/completed 05/19/2017 **

Submitted 05/03/2017

DIAGNOSIS: Ewing’s Sarcoma

DATE OF DIAGNOSIS: 2/22/17

PHYSICIAN: Dr. Jason Fixler

HOSPITAL: Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, MD

THE NEED:
Ariella is in the hospital for inpatient treatment every other week which means we spend a lot of time in the hospital and have to spend money for meals, parking and gas. We also buy many meals for Ariella since the room service meals aren’t very good. Our insurance has been okay so far but we do have a copay on all her medicines which adds up. My husband and I are able to take turns working and being at the hospital but both of us will run out of paid time off at some point during her treatment so those days off will be unpaid. So the funds would go towards the medicine, food, gas and parking expenses and to help supplement any unpaid work days.

Ariella’s Mom, Erica submitted this request. They both attended the “Glow Walk” held by the Baltimore County Public Schools.

I recommend a $500 grant for this requestor. Please respond by Monday, May 15.

    Thx, Lisa

I have met this family and fully support 500 donation. Arielle is a sweet young lady battling Ewing in her leg/ankle area. She is an amazing young lady.

I totally agree. I’m sure expenses add up so fast. It’s so great to be able to offer a little support. 🤗
